Diana left the SKATING WORLD after competing as an amateur and became a full time skating coach at Leaside Gardens for 18 years, while performing in the syndicated TV show "STARS ON ICE".
While Diana was rehearsing for the TV show, she was approached to audition for a company that required a skater to perform on "Slick" (a polyurethane surface). This was a revolutionary surface in its day, and was being demonstrated at a trade show to promote its use as an alternate surface for figure skating and hockey training. This was her first trade show experience, and provided her the opportunity to be professionally represented by a "Modelling and TV Talent Agency". In 1986, she juggled four careers: Stars On Ice, teaching, modelling and promotional work. After 2 busy years, she knew it was time to "hang up the blades" and choose to explore the world of PROMOTIONS on a full time basis.
Aware that good-looking, well-spoken "customer service representatives" were important to all companies pitching their products, she decided to launch her own company with the MISSION STATEMENT to provide "top notch customer service delivered by the best quality talent available".
Diana Williams Promotions Limited became the little agency that grew! It survived and flourished, in spite of 9/11, Mad Cow Disease, a province-wide power outage, and SARS. She is very excited to be celebrating our twenty-fifth anniversary in 2011.
At DWP (Dedicated - Worthy - Proud) she has become well-known for servicing corporations, providing top notch talent to the promotional industry, and today, staffs requests for a variety of promotions and corporate functions across Canada.
